She makes some stellar stuff and knows Chikankari like the back of her hands. The dupatta is impeccably finished and the organza sits beautifully and the Chikankari workmanship is delicate and intricate. Nandini is brilliant, warm and incredibly helpful while placing and order and giving out as much information about the craft. -By Anu Merton |

It took me to the memory lane of my childhood story book. Khirer Putul is a children's fantasy novel written by Abanindranath Tagore nephew of the great writer Rabindranath Tagore. Khirer Putul is considered a masterpiece and landmark by writers in Bengali language children's literature. I remember one of my favorite line from there, if I translate in English would be when the queen asked her husband to get her a saree, which is blue as the sky and light as the breeze. From my childhood this line has been stuck in my head and I tried to find something similar. Thanks to you for making my imagination come true. - Shyamopriya, USA |
